Four sons wood sales.

The boys were busy cutting wood today for their business. Many years ago, we were praying and asking God how to teach the boys to work hard and to save and use money wisely. We burn wood each winter and always had some left so Larry thought it would be good for the boys to sell firewood to the campers that stay at the campground. The first summer Daniel and Joshua cut, split and sold 600.00 worth of wood.

Daniel was able to buy his go-kart and then the truck he has now. Joshua bought himself a go-kart and is saving his money for now. Ben has purchased a few things and continues to save also.

Teaching our children to work and to be diligent is so important. Each of the boys have learned that even though the work is unpleasant at times and they would rather quit there is the reward of a job well done. Teaching the children that God wants them "to work as unto the Lord" gives them a proper perspective. I think Noah needs to get in the game........not supervise!

Working around the house.

Noah likes to help water my plant from Isreal and many of my plants in containers. I really thinks he just likes playing in the water!

The boys and I each took a row in the garden and soon it was done. They all headed to the pool to cool off. It sure was a hot day.

Joshua tackled the lawn by pushmowing along the woods and then moved to the riding mower. He likes to help his father by being able to mow and use the weedeater when needed. I'm so thankful for my young men that they are willing to help whenever needed. Children are blessings.

By Grace alone,

Tis the Season.......for firewood!!

Joshua is carrying in his share of firewood today. The boys have taken this job on so their dad doesn't have to haul it in after a long day at work.

Benjamin is having a little trouble balancing them in his carrier, it will take some practice but I'm sure he'll catch on.

Noah came in to show me his share of the load.....two whole pieces!! We're all so happy for him doing a good job.

I'll have to catch a picture of Daniel some other time as he already had his load done.

What a blessing these boys are to their father and me.

Noah and the pumpkin.

Noah wanted to help me cook the pumpkins today. He was so happy!

He really was happy until he stuck his hand in. He wrinkled up his nose and........

went straight to the water!! I had to laugh. He did help me clean 2 whole pumpkins and then decided he was done and went to play.

3 Whole pumpkins yeilded all these bags ready for the freezer. Pumpkin muffins, pumpkin dinner rolls, pumpkin pies and pumpkin bars during the winter. What a treat.
