Right now, I am:
remembering- my sister who has been gone now 8 years
laughing- at the dog who does not like it when I spray Lysol
wishing- that the laundry was done
listening- to the boys playing with their Legos
amazed- that it is December, already
thankful- for my husband and children
wondering- why it has been so hard to get up early this week
reminding myself- to enjoy THIS day
thinking- that I have ALL I need
looking forward- to a quiet evening at home watching another Christmas movie
wishing you- a lovely evening too!
Blessings,
Kim

Lucy and her "friends".
This is Lucy's favorite past-time. She sits at the sliding doors looking at all the squirrels in the backyard gathering their supplies for the winter. I really enjoy having these doors, the light they allow into the house is wonderful. I also never knew we had so many squirrels! They are a joy to watch each morning, all frisky.
This little guy or gal comes up to the steps and just looks at Lucy. This drives her crazy. Occasionally I will go over to the door very slowly and open it and boy does she chase those squirrels. She just wants to play, you see. :) The children all laugh knowing she doesn't have a chance.

Monday Madness
Every Monday seems the same. It seems the to-do list is overwhelming. Things I need to catch up on from the weekend, and also things I need to prepare for the week ahead. While doing my devotions, I ran across this quote from Elisabeth Elliott:
Title: Time for God's Will
Author: Elisabeth Elliot
One reason we are so harried and hurried is that we make yesterday and tomorrow our business, when all that legitimately concerns us is today. If we really have too much to do, there are some items on the agenda which God did not put there. Let us submit the list to Him and ask Him to indicate which items we must delete. There is always time to do the will of God. If we are too busy to do that, we are too busy.
Lord, help me to take your yoke on my shoulder, not a yoke of my own making. May I learn from You to be gentle and humblehearted. May I find that your load is light.
I think the highlighted section above is sooooo important! How many things do I put on my list that God never wanted me to do in the first place. May God show me what is truly His agenda for my day!!
Resting in Him,
Kim
