Every home needs a good supply of buttons! I received mine from an elderly lady that was a close friend of my mother. I have picked up buttons here and they from time to time, and I'm so thankful to have them. I sometimes feel like a depression era woman!! This week both older boys brought me a pair of pants that needed a button. I pulled out my button stash and soon found a close match.

After sewing the button on, I put a few drops of nail polish on both sides of the stitches to help the button stay on.

Joshua and I have been busily working on his quilt for these past few days. He wanted to make one with all of his favorite t-shirts from the past several years. He was able to finish cutting most of them out and lay them out in a pattern last night.

This morning Joshua started sewing the rows together. It was rather challenging to not stretch them out of shape while sewing. We had to use a lot of pins. :)

He was able to sew all the strips together before he went to the Christian school for his English class.

I made this for my mother-in-law. I intend to make picture holders from my scrapbooking supplies and Velcro them to it. I have five pictures to put on it. I hope she likes her Christmas present.

I've also been making cloth diapers for a family that goes to our church. I made some out of pastel flannel, mint green, and light blue flannel. The family has all girls and when I told her I had a full-size flannel sheet set with bears and trees she said "sure". I'm trying to use up material that I have on hand to save her money.

Here is the diaper open. These are really thick! I hope she likes them as much as I did.
